For vehicles equipped with an electric regenerative braking system of category B, the condition of the vehicle batteries at the start of the test, shall be such that the braking force contribution provided by the electric regenerative braking system does not exceed the minimum guaranteed by the system design. This requirement shall apply for all conditions of loading when compensation exceeds the following limits: Supplement 16 to the original version of the Regulation — Date of entry into force: Every modification of the vehicle type or of its braking system shall be notified to the Type Approval Authority which approved the vehicle type.
Vehicles using other types of steering control may also be approved to this annex provided the manufacturer is able to demonstrate to the Technical Service that the performance requirements of this annex can be met using equivalent steering inputs to the steering inputs stipulated under paragraph 5 of this part.

Determination of front versus rear brake pressure: Determine the front versus rear brake pressure relationship over the entire range of line pressures. Test requirements for vehicles fitted with anti-lock systems Appendix 1 — Symbols and definitions Appendix 2 — Utilisation of adhesion Appendix 3 — Performance on differing adhesion surfaces Appendix 4 — Method of selection of the low adhesion surface 7.
Adjustment specifications of the load sensing valve: It shall be demonstrated to rehulations satisfaction of the Technical Service that the BAS activates under the conditions specified by the manufacturer in accordance with item If these latter conditions are not fulfilled, the red warning signal specified in paragraph 5.
Components having different characteristics; 2.
This paragraph does not apply to vehicles where the prescribed deceleration values can be regulqtions without the use of electrical energy. Details on analogue and digital data processing of the BAS test procedures are described in Appendix 5 to this annex.
Assessment of the wear condition of the friction surfaces of brake discs or drums may only be performed by direct measurement of the actual component or examination of any brake disc or drum wear indicators, which may necessitate some level of disassembly. The mean fully developed deceleration d m shall be calculated as the deceleration averaged with respect to distance over the interval v b to v eaccording to the following formula:.
In verifying compliance with the requirements of paragraphs 1. Penalties for non-conformity of production The driver can at any moment increase or decrease the braking force by acting on the control; 2. The possibility of a fall-back to partial operation or even to a back-up system for vital vehicle functions may be a part of the safety concept.
A diagram of assembled braking equipment and an indication of the position of its components on the vehicle; 3. When the tests are conducted without a regenerative braking component regardless of the state of charge of the batteries.
Regulationss an emergency manoeuvre, the time elapsing between the moment when the control device begins to be actuated and the moment when the braking force on the least favourable placed axle reaches the level corresponding to the prescribed performance shall not exceed 0,6 seconds.
The coefficient of adhesion of the road surface shall be measured with the vehicle under test, by the method described in paragraph 1. The documentation shall be supported, by an analysis which shows, in overall terms, how the system will regulationa on regylations occurrence of any one of those specified faults which will have a bearing on vehicle control performance or safety.

At the start of the tests, the tyres shall be cold and at the pressure prescribed for the load actually borne by the wheels when the vehicle is stationary.
An alternative measuring method may be regualtions for type approval testing, provided it demonstrates at least an equivalent level of precision as the double integration method. This may be achieved by utilising simple standard workshop tools or common inspection equipment for vehicles.
The value for time at the zero degree steering wheel angle is interpolated. Initiation of the first Sine with Dwell test series shall begin within two hours after completion of the slowly increasing steer tests of paragraph 5. As an alternative to ecce requirement of paragraph 5. This information shall be subject to discussion and agreement between the Technical Service and the vehicle manufacturer. Brake linings shall be tested according to the procedure given in paragraph 1.
In each series of test runs, the steering amplitude is increased from run to run, by 0,5 A, provided that no such run will result in a steering amplitude greater than that of the final run specified in paragraph 5. Shall extinguish at the next ignition cycle after regulatiosn malfunction has been corrected in accordance with paragraph 5. At the maximum charge level recommended by the manufacturer, as listed in the vehicle specification; or.
This value shall be specified by the manufacturer. During brake applications, the highest gear ratio excluding overdrive, etc. For each of these valid tests the vehicle deceleration shall be plotted as a function of the recorded brake pedal force. The manufacturer shall notify the Technical Service of the required brake pedal input retulations the time of submission of the application for type-approval.
The requirement of paragraph 3. A vehicle, representative of the vehicle ecce to be approved, shall be submitted to the Technical Service conducting the approval tests.
This will be g13 as the basic reference for the verification process set out in paragraph 4 of this annex. Following completion of the final stop in paragraph 5.
